Course Description:
Based on Linguistics for Classroom Application 1, this course puts an emphasis on practices in the areas of usage and phonetics or phonology of English. Besides the ability to choose and apply linguistic theories to future teaching, self-development to improve your language knowledge and communication skills is of the major requirement of this course. The part of usage aims to solidify your basic grammar and structure knowledge for better writing and reading. The other part is to familiarize you with correct pronunciation of English and this can strengthen your listening and speaking.
